Ana Warmsley, MS, LPC-Intern, Bilingual
SUPERVISED BY Megan Mcmurry Shelton, ma, lpc-s
I am a Bilingual Spanish Licensed Professional Counselor Intern. I have a Bachelor of Science in Social Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Child and Adolescent Development. I completed my counseling education at the University of North Texas at Dallas with a Master’s in Clinical Community Mental Health Counseling.
My counseling approach is integrated from several counseling approaches with a foundation in Person Centered Therapy. My goal is to collaboratively work with an individual to construct and customize their goals, plans, and desired future. You are the expert in your own life and are equipped to reach your full potential. My role in the therapeutic relationship is to listen, empower, and help people discover new or pre-existing strengths within themselves to improve their wellbeing and live the life they desire.
I specialize in working with diverse individuals to include veterans and military families. My training allows me to work with adults and youth afflicted by stress, life experiences, trauma, and issues that present after trauma, such as anxiety, suicidal ideation, PTSD, depression and grief. I also have experience in working with couples experiencing relationship struggles.
In my free time, I love to travel, practice yoga, spend time with family and friends, and reading a good book.
