Ashley Stalmach, LCSW
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (TX license # 68869). I received my bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2014 and my master’s degree in Social Work in 2019 at the University of Texas at Arlington. I have my basic training in EMDR as well as Cognitive Processing Therapy to assist clients who have PTSD or other types of trauma related disorders.
I use Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) as the primary basis of my practice. I love to encourage my clients to challenge their negative beliefs in order to be their most authentic, joyful self. I have a history of working with adolescents in both outpatient and inpatient settings and I have a particular passion for working with this age group as they navigate the unique challenges of becoming a young adult. I have also worked with women and children at a domestic violence agency. I am passionate about working with clients regarding women’s specific issues, LGBTQIA+ and gender affirming care, identity issues, trauma, self-esteem, anxiety and depression. |
I believe that the journey of therapy is for everyone. Whether you need help coping with daily stressors, or you’re struggling with lifelong trauma, I will be a safe and supportive place for you.
In my free time, I love cooking, trying to keep plants alive, spending time with my dog and family, reading, and watching movies, TV shows and documentaries.
