Jason ANderson, MS, LPC

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (TX #85709) and I use they/he pronouns. I completed my Master’s of Science at Southern Methodist University with an emphasis on Affirmative Counseling for Queer Clients. I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology and Child Development at University of Texas at Dallas. 

My career started in early childhood education as a Kindergarten Teacher who specialized in play-based teaching. In my work as a mental health professional I have worked with adults, teens and couples through various topics. I have worked primarily in the fields of trauma,  addiction, and providing affirming care for queer clients in need. 

​As a counselor I focus on providing Trauma-Informed, Humanistic Counseling. Some of the primary counseling theories I pull from are: Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing, Narrative Therapy, and Neuropsychology. I believe that people are the expert of their own experience and that they have the power to heal within themself. I believe my role is to provide a nonjudgmental space where you can reconnect to your own curiosity and strength. I work hard to tailor the therapeutic environment to fit the needs of any person that walks through the door because therapy is not a “one size fits all” experience. 

My free time is mostly filled by playing video games on the couch with my cats. I also enjoy drawing, watching horror movies with my boyfriend, reading fantasy novels, and playing bass. I sometimes even go outside to touch grass.

Fees and Availability

Fees: $160 for the initial session, $135 for the subsequent sessions

Availability: Tuesday 3:30pm-7pm, Wednesday: virtual 2pm-8pm, Thursday: 2pm-8pm, Friday & Saturyday: 10am-12pm
