Couples often become household managers, working together as if they are co-workers rather than intimate partners. Loss of intimacy can be difficult for some and less troubling for others. Likewise, some thrive and some struggle in managing a household. Counseling can help your build on your own unique strengths in the marriage, whether it's keeping up with the house, or keeping the spark alive.

You may feel that you are constantly trying to balance the amount of time you spend in your work and in your marriage. If you work too much, you worry your relationship will suffer. If you spend too much time with your partner or family, you worry your work will suffer.
